Cadenhead Single Cask Highland Park 1996 20yo
700ml 50.60%
A somewhat curious HP as they notes don't really mention the classic peat/honey combo that HP used to bang on about. I've seen modern versions, very similar to this one. Distilled 1996, bottled 2016, ex Bourbon cask, out-turn: 258 bottles. From Mr Cadenhead, Mark Watt, "A little lemon, vanilla, lots of cream, apple crumble, icing sugar and pear tart...a very coastal finish."

Cadenhead Small Batch Highland Park 1990 25yo
700ml 50.60%
This is a vatting of two bourbon hogsheads and as Serge Valentin declares, "Sharp, waxy, citrusy, herbal, very much focused, well-chiselled, slightly smoky… And there’s this bitterness that keeps it a little ‘intellectual. 91pts " noting that he can't understand why the distillery got rid of these casks.

Highland Park 1990 19yo Global Travel Retail
700ml 40.00%
This HP represents a series of four sherried HP's that were released in the mid 2000's, exclusively for the Travel Retail market, ie you have to pay full local taxes and charges as opposed to Duty Free, where duty is not charged. The oak mix is both American and Spanish oak sherry barrels, so a very tasty, honeyed, fruity and gently smokey HP is to be gad.

Highland Park Dark Origins
700ml 46.80%
Like the name as it so suggest sherry oak maturation. It's of a modern age as it a regular item for a no age statement.Eighty per cent sherry oak and 20% Bourbon, and all are first fill. So a more usual mix for HP unlike the 17yo Ice. From Scotch Addict, "Nice body, smoke on the front and then many of flavors associated with a sherry maturation like spices, walnuts, almond, and some orange peel."

That Boutique-y Highland Park Batch 1
500ml 44.70%
From those crazy chaps, with the crazy labels who the malt public just go crazy about! No age statement, because that’s the way they like it. Pic indicative only.

Cadenhead Small Batch Bunnahabhain 1976 39yo Sherry Cask
700ml 49.40%
Full sherry matured and quite ancient. I think I need to mortgage the dogs. Definitely old style Bunny. From Adventures In Whisky Land, "Immediately a strong woody influence with a thick sweetness of dried flowers. It has this weight to it that carries fathoms of flavours with plums, apricot tarts, grape juice, lingon berry, German plum pastries, raspberries, black berries, mango chutney, bitter cinnamon bark, star anise from beef spicy noodle soup, lucky charms or the Jurassic park Marshmallows limited edition cereal, smores, it just keeps going. The weight of it is something that Ive not encountered before. Its just this enormous presence. 9/10"

Gallery Lounge Linkwood 1984 26yo Shiba Park Hotel Bar The Fifteens
700ml 53.70%
Special one off bottling for this world renowned Japanese hotel. All I can say is aged Linkwood, what a treat.
